Un-PC PC
I'm finding myself in an increasingly weird position as a mum. Things that I thought were considered "normal", or matter of course have been turned on their head. Its been going on for ages. My daughter, when she was at play centre, was continually beaten up by a complete munter of a four year old boy. The reaction, you think, by the adults would be some standing down, maybe a little time out, some time to think about his actions. Several years later, his little brother is beating up on my two year old boy - I can't believe it! This little thug runs through the centre, knocking down all of the resources, upturning puzzles and collage and paint, with little or no consequence. He's beaten up poor R so many times I can't keep count, and the policy at PC to deal with this is of positive guidance - so instead of telling M off, of showing him how much he has hurt someone, he is gently led off to some other activity that may better serve his purpose.
